I watched the games unfold against Ethopia and the Kiwis had to work hard for their wins. When a team like Ethiopia has only 1 FIDE ranked player (2200 on board 4), it's much more difficult to assess the strength. Ethiopia are a lot stronger than their 141st ranking would indicate. Now NZ faces off against 28th seed Slovenia with GM Beliavsky plus two other GMs. That will be tough!
